Bounties and integrated landing page (Release Notes v3.0)

No impact market without prizes! Now you can manage your prizes and other kinds of bounties on the Impact Markets platform itself.

We spent most of our energy since January on promoting app.impactmarkets.io as your central platform for funding applications, a crowdsourced charity evaluator for all the causes and project formats that are not served by GiveWell or Animal Charity Evaluators, and a way to leverage your donations.

But we’ve also built new features into the platform!

New stuff in release 3.0

Bounties

Want to get something done but can’t do it yourself? Now you can post a bounty, tag it, and get things done. The bounties have a Q & A system and deadlines built in. That way you can create timeless bounties (without deadline), and they’ll remain visible until they’re actually fulfilled!

Or you can earn a little extra money by fulfilling the bounties of others. Just sort by size, and tackle the biggest ones first.

Streamlined project creation

We’ve simplified the project creation a bit. (No more warnings when someone hasn’t confirmed their identity – but you can still confirm your identity.) A few more simplifications are forthcoming in v3.1, at which point I’ll rerecord the how-to video!

Integrated landing page

The app has its own integrated landing page now! We might make this our main landing page.

I combined the rollout with a redesign of the sidebar, and I’ve removed the bar at the top. Most people have widescreen devices at this point, so the website is optimized to give you as much space as possible vertically and rather tries to get creative to make use of the excessive horizontal space.
